803 Picka je asteroid D-tipa te je građen od silikata obogaćenih organskim spojevima, ugljikom, bezvodnih silikata s mogućnošću vodenog leda u unutrašnjosti. Zbog specifičnog sastava asteroide D-tipa krasi crvenkasta boja bez spektralnih posebnosti.
