סולם MSK 64

סולם MSK 64 הוא סקאלה מאקרוסייסמית בן 12 דרגות להערכת עוצמה סייסמית, שהיא מיון תאוצת הקרקע על פי חומרת האפקטים הסייסמיים שנצפו באתר/אזור מוגדר בזמן רעידת אדמה[1]. הסולם הוצע לראשונה בשנת 1964 על ידי סרגיי מדבדב (ברית המועצות), וילהלם ספונהר (מזרח גרמניה), ו-וויט קרניק (צ'כוסלובקיה)[2]. שם הסולם הוא צירוף של האותיות הראשונות של שם משפחתו של כל אחד מהם. הסולם התבסס על תצפיות של אפקטים סייסמיים[א] מרעידות אדמה שהתרחשו במדינות מרכז אירופה עד שנות הששים. דרגות העוצמה הסייסמית מסומנות בספרות רומיות, כדי להבדילן מדרגות גודל כגון: סולם מגניטודה לפי מומנט, סולם ריכטר ודומיהם.

מרכיבי הסולם

הסולם מתאר בכל דרגת עוצמה סייסמית אפקטים סייסמיים החמורים יותר מהדרגה שמתחתיה ובצורה מדורגת. בדרגה I רעידת האדמה כלל לא הורגשה באזור הייחוס, ודרגות II עד IV מתארות אפקטים של רעידת האדמה כפי שמשפיעה על בני אדם, בעלי חיים ודומם, אך עדיין ללא גרימת נזק למבנים.

דוגמה לעקומת פגיעות כללית, המתארת באופן יחסי את כמות המבנים שניזוקו נזק כלשהו, בחתך איכויות המבנים והעוצמות הסייסמיות[3].

מדרגה V מתחילים תאורי נזק למבנים, כאשר התיאורים מתבססים על שילוב של איכות בניית המבנים שניזוקו, עם דרגת הנזק שנגרמה להם, והכמות היחסית של מבנים מאותו סוג שניזוקו נזק דומה באותו אתר/אזור מוגדר.

איכות בניית המבנים חולקה לשלוש רמות של איכות בנייה: A - איכות גרועה, B - איכות בינונית, C - איכות טובה. האיכות נקבעה על פי מידת תאוצת הקרקע (המקסימלית), שכנגדה המבנה עדיין עמיד - ראו פירוט במטריצת הפגיעות המפורטת להלן.

דרגות הנזק חולקו לחמש דרגות: 1. נזק קל (slight damage); 2. נזק מתון (Moderate damage); 3. נזק כבד (Heavy damage); 4. הרס (Destruction); 5. נזק טוטלי (Total damage). דרגות הנזק נקבעו על פי עלות השבת המבנה למצבו הקודם, כחלק יחסי משווי המבנה - פירוט, לרבות נזקים אופייניים לדרגות הנזק השונות, מתוארים בתחתית מטריצת הפגיעות המפורטת.

הכמות היחסית של המבנים שניזוקו נזק דומה באותו אתר/אזור הוגדרה כ: מבנים בודדים (2% - 9% מהמבנים שניזוקו נזק מדרגה נתונה; מבנים רבים (10% - 50% מהמבנים); או רוב המבנים (51% עד קרוב ל־100%)[4][5].

השימוש בסולם

השימוש בסולם זה היה רחב ביותר במדינות אירופה, ברית המועצות וישראל, אגב ביצוע שינויים קלים באמצע שנות ה-70 ותחילת שנות ה-80[6]. זאת עד תחילת שנות ה-90, כשהוועדה הסייסמולוגית האירופית (ESC) השתמשה ברבים מהעקרונות שנוסחו בוורסיות השונות של סולמות MSK, לפיתוח הסולם המאקרוסייסמי האירופאי (אנ'), שהוא כיום תקן דה-פקטו להערכת העוצמה הסייסמית במדינות אירופה[2].

מטריצת פגיעות המפרטת את ההתפלגות היחסית של המבנים שניזוקו נזק כלשהו ברעידת אדמה בחתך: איכויותיהם, דרגות הנזק והעוצמה הסייסמית[7].

כפועל יוצא ממחקרים רבים שבוצעו על רעידות אדמה רבות שהתרחשו במאה ה-20 באירופה, תוך שימוש בסולם MSK, לרבות שימוש בדיעבד לחקר רעידות אדמה היסטוריות, נוצרו מטריצות פגיעוּת אמפיריות למבני מגורים באירופה[6]. המטריצות הללו התחלקו ל"עקומות פגיעות כלליות" שהגדירו כמה מבנים באיכות בניה נתונה ניזוקים נזק כלשהו, ומטריצת פגיעות מפורטת, שמפרטת באופן יחסי את התפלגות המבנים שניזוקים נזק כלשהו, בחתך איכויות המבנים השונים ודרגות הנזק השונות - ראו האיור והטבלה משמאל.

השימוש העיקרי במטריצות הפגיעות הוא להערכת היקף הנזקים הצפוי באזור נתון, אשר העוצמה הסייסמית הצפויה בו ברעידת אדמה עתידית ידועה, על פי תרחיש שנקבע[ב].
