מלחמתו של צ'ארלי וילסון (באנגלית: Charlie Wilson's War) הוא סרט דרמה משנת 2007 בכיכובם של טום הנקס, ג'וליה רוברטס, איימי אדמס, כריסטופר דנהאם, נד ביטי, פיליפ סימור הופמן וג'ון סלאטרי, המבוסס על סיפור אמיתי אודות חבר בית הנבחרים של ארצות הברית מטעם טקסס, צ'ארלי וילסון, ומעורבותו במבצע ציקלון, מבצע חשאי של ה-CIA לחימוש המוג'אהדין במלחמת אפגניסטן-ברית המועצות.[1] את התסריט כתב ארון סורקין.[2]

עלילה

עלילת הסרט מתרחשת בשנות השמונים. ג'ואן הרינג (ג'וליה רוברטס),[3] חברתו הוותיקה של צ'ארלי וילסון (טום הנקס), חבר קונגרס מטקסס, שכנעה אותו לתמוך ולקדם את הסיוע האמריקני למוג'אהדין, תנועת ההתנגדות האפגנית שלחמה בצבא הרוסי שכבש את אפגניסטן. וילסון נעזר בגוסטב "גאסט" לסקאריס אבראקוטוס (פיליפ סימור הופמן), סוכן חשאי ותיק ומיומן ב-CIA ובצוות כוחות מיוחדים מן האגף לפעולות מיוחדות בסוכנות, שבו חבר גם מייקל ויקרס (כריסטופר דנהאם), איש הכוחות המיוחדים של צבא ארצות הברית ולימים תת-מזכיר ההגנה למודיעין. וילסון ושותפיו הצליחו לגבש אסטרטגיה יעילה לתמיכה, אימון וסיוע למורדים האפגניים, וסייעו לניצחונם על הצבא הרוסי. מנגד, התברר כי מן הסיוע הגיע לבסוף לאוסמה בין לאדן ואנשיו.
