לינדה הודס לבית מרגוליס (באנגלית: Linda Hodes Margolies; (נולדה ב-1931) היא רקדנית, מורה וכוריאוגרפית בכירה בלהקתה של מרתה גרהם שביצעה תפקידים ראשיים ברבות מיצירותיה. נציגתה של מרתה גרהם בהקמת להקת בת שבע. במקביל רקדה במחזות מוזיקליים בברודוויי ובהפקות טלוויזיה בניו יורק.

קורות חיים

הודס נולדה ב-1931 בארצות הברית.[1] למדה בקולג' בקונטיקט. היא החלה את לימודי המחול בגיל תשע בכיתת הילדים בבית הספר של מרתה גרהם בניו-יורק. בשנת 1953 הצטרפה ללהקת המחול של מרתה גרהם.

הודס הייתה נשואה לרקדן האמריקאי סטיוארט הודס (אנ') שרקד גם הוא בלהקתה של גרהם (1947–1958) וגם רקד בברודוויי. לזוג נולדו שתי בנות קתרין ומרתה. הם התגרשו בשנת 1964.[2] בארץ נישאה לרקדן אהוד בן דוד, ובתם היא טל.

קריירה מקצועית

בלהקת המחול של מרתה גרהם הייתה רקדנית, מורה וכוריאוגרפית.[3] היא רקדה בתפקידים במחולות Seraphic Dialogue (1955) Clytemnestra (1958), Acrobats of God (1960), ו-Phaedra (1962) וכן ריקוד עם פ. טיילור וטטלי ובברודוויי. מרתה כתבה עבורה כוריאוגרפיה של המחול The Act. הודס הייתה מנהלת אמנותית שותפה של להקתה של מרתה גרהם ולאחר מכן מנהלת בית הספר פול טיילור ושל טיילור 2 (1992–8) ומשנת 1998 החלה לעבוד בעריכת פרויקט שימור הרפרטואר של קרן טיילור.

בשנת 1964 הגיעה לישראל כאסיסטנטית של גרהם, על מנת לסייע בייסוד להקה רפרטוארית של מחול מודרני בארץ בניהולה של הברונית בת שבע דה רוטשילד ולנהל את ההכנות להופעת הבכורה של להקת בת-שבע עם ריקודיה של מרתה גרהם.[4]

הודס הייתה נציגתה של גרהם היועצת האמנותית ללהקת המחול בת שבע, שסייעה בהקמת הלהקה, על בסיס הטכניקה שלה. גרהם גם נתנה ללהקה לבצע שבע מעבודותיה, זכות שאף להקה בעולם לא קיבלה – מעולם[5] הודס כבר הכירה חלק מהרקדנים בניו יורק משום שהגיעו ללמוד את שיטת גראהם בבית ספרה של גראהם בניו יורק. כבר בניו יורק, לינדה הודס שהייתה רקדנית בלהקתה של גראהם, שימשה אסיסטנטית לגראהם ולימדה את יצירותיה. הופעת הבכורה של להקת בת-שבע הייתה רגע היסטורי בתולדות המחול בישראל. בשנת 1964 לימדה טכניקה של גרהם בלהקת המחול בת שבע כנציגתה הבכירה של מרתה גראהם, הכוהנת הגדולה של המחול המודרני האמריקני.

בשנת 1965 שבה הודס לישראל כדי להדריך את רקדני הלהקה בביצוע הכוריאוגרפיות של גרהם ביצירות נוספות הגן, אחוז מלחמה ושעשועי המלאכים, והחליטה להשתקע בישראל.[6]

הודס הצטרפה ללהקת בת-שבע כמורה וכרקדנית. הודס נשארה בלהקה עד לשנת 1970 כרקדנית, כמורה וכמנהלת חזרות. עד לשנת 1975 שימשה אחראית על הרפרטואר של מרתה גרהם בבת-שבע והייתה מנהלת אמנותית עמיתה לסירוגין בשנים 1971–1974. תרומה רבה נקשרה לדרכי עבודתה של הודס בלהקת בת-שבע שנסקה אל פסגת המחול המודרני העולמי. אלה היו שנות הזוהר, וסיוריה באירופה ובארצות הברית בסוף שנות ה-60 ותחילת ה-70 היו מסעות של ניצחון ללהקה[5].

הודס רקדה בלהקת בת-שבע בריקודים אדם וחווה, אוהל המראות (1965), צו הרשות, פנים ומסכה (1966), לשונות אש (1967), קלעים, תנועות (1969). נוסף על כך יצרה הודס עבור הלהקה את הכוריאוגרפיה ליצירותיה המופע (1967) והבט בעצמך (1972).

ב-1970 פרשה מריקוד בבת-שבע ופעלה ככוריאוגרפית אורחת בבלט רמבֶּר בלונדון, וכמורה ומנהלת חזרות בנדרלנדס דאנס תיאטר NDT בהולנד. כמו כן לימדה מחול בבית הספר למחול ג'וליארד, בנייבורהוד פלייהאוס ובאמריקן דאנס פסטיבל בניו-יורק. בהמשך לימדה בבית הספר למחול בת-דור, באקדמיה למוסיקה ולמחול בירושלים ובתאטרון מחול ענבל. ב-1974 חזרה הודס ללהקת בת-שבע כדי לרקוד ביצירתה של גרהם חלום. ב-1974 ניהלה את בית הספר למחול והלהקה של ליה שוברט וקאי לוטמן, בחיפה.[7]

ב-1975 שבה לניו-יורק וניהלה את בית הספר למחול של מרתה גרהם, שם שימשה מנהלת חזרות ובשנים 1979–1991 גם מנהלת אמנותית שותפה. בשנים 1992–1998 שימשה מנהלת חזרות בלהקתו של פול טיילור וניהלה אמנותית את להקתו טיילור 2. הודס ממשיכה לפעול במסגרת בית הספר והלהקה של טיילור.
