ויליאם גאו (באנגלית: William Gao, בסינית: 高鑫, פין-יין: Gāo Xīn; נולד ב-20 בפברואר 2003) הוא שחקן ומוזיקאי אנגלי. הוא ידוע בתפקידו כטאו ז'ו בסדרת הטלוויזיה "עוצר נשימה" המשודרת בנטפליקס, שעבורו היה מועמד לפרס אמי לתוכניות לילדים ולמשפחה בקטגוריית שחקן המשנה הטוב ביותר.[1]

גאו חבר בצמד מוזיקלי בשם Wasia Project, יחד עם אחותו הצעירה אוליביה הארדי.[2][3] במאי 2022 יצא לאור המיני-אלבום הראשון שלהם, How Can I Pretend?.[4]

ראשית חייו

גאו נולד ב-20 בפברואר 2003 בדרום קרוידון שבדרום לונדון, לונדון, הממלכה המאוחדת.[5][6] אביו אנגלי ואמו סינית שעברה לגור באנגליה בשנות העשרים לחייה.[7] הוא למד בבית הספר טריניטי (Trinity School),[8] שם סיים את לימודיו בשנת 2022, ולמד במגמות סינית, מוזיקה ודרמה במסגרת בחינות ה-A-level. מאז גיל 11 הוא מנגן בפסנתר קלאסי,[9] והיה חבר במקהלת הבנים של בית הספר טריניטי.[10][11] במאי 2019 הוא הצטרף לתיאטרון הנוער הלאומי (אנ') הממוקם בלונדון.[12]
