ויולה ד'אמורה (Viola d'amore, מאיטלקית: "כונרת האהבה") הוא כלי נגינה בעל 6 או 7 מיתרים ומיתרי תהודה (אנ'), אשר נוגן בעיקר בתקופת הבארוק.[1]

כמו הכינור והויולה בני זמננו, גם על הויולה ד'אמורה מנגנים כאשר הכלי תלוי על הסנטר, ומבחינת טווח הרגיסטר ישנו שילוב בין המנעד הבינוני לגבוה.

מידע

הויולה ד'אמורה היא למעשה וריאציה מסוימת של הויולה דה גמבה, כאשר ההבדלים המשמעותיים הם בהעלאת הרגיסטר, הקטנת ממדי הכלי והוספת מיתרי תהודה. גב הכלי לרוב שטוח, ופתח תהודה נוסף נמצא על יד השחיף.

מספרם של מיתרי התהודה לרוב תואם את המספר של המיתרים הרגילים. מיתרי התהודה נמצאים מתחת למיתרים הרגילים ומטרתם לאפשר הדהוד המשלים את הצליל הגורם לאפקט מיוחד.

מקור שמו של הכלי הוא בנטייתם של בוני הויולה ד'אמורה לגלף את השבלול לצורת ראשו של קופידון, כאשר עיניו מכוסות במטפחת. (לאות "העיוורון של האהבה").

מבחינת כוונון הכלי, רק לקראת סוף המאה ה-18 הוצע כוונון סטנדרטי (מלמטה למעלה): לה, רה, לה, רה, פה#, לה ורה. עד תקופה זו היה נהוג לכוון בהתאם לדרישת היצירה ("סקודטורה" (אנ')).

בשל עוצמת הצליל והברק של משפחת כלי הקשת המודרנית, ובראשם הכינור, החלה הויולה ד'אמורה להיעלם בהדרגה. עם זאת, במאה ה-20 החלה מחדש התעניינות בכלי, כאשר ויולנים נודעים כדוגמת אנרי קאסאדסי ופאול הינדמית ניגנו על הויולה ד'אמורה, וזה האחרון אף כתב יצירה לכלי זה (Kammermusik No. 6) (אנ').
