הראל משה בית־און (נולד ב־5 ביולי 1959) הוא איש עסקים ישראלי, פעיל בתפקידי ניהול בחברות היי־טק וכמשקיע הון סיכון. הוא מייסד־שותף בקבוצת ויולה (אנ'), שותף כללי וממייסדי קרן הון הסיכון ויולה ונצ'רס ומייסד ושותף־מנהל בויולה צמיחה – Viola Growth.

קריירה עסקית

בית־און בעל תואר ראשון בכלכלה מהאוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים ותואר מוסמך במנהל עסקים מ־MIT Sloan (אנ') בית ספר לניהול של המכון הטכנולוגי של מסצ'וסטס.[1]

בשנים 1994–2005 שימש בית־און בתפקיד מנכ"ל, נשיא ויו"ר של חברת טקנומטיקס, והוביל אותה עד למכירתה בשנת 2005 לחברת UGS בסכום של 228 מיליון דולר.[2] במהלך שמונה השנים שבהן ניהל את החברה, צמחה החברה ל־650 עובדים עם מכירות של מעל ל־100 מיליון דולר. טקנומטיקס עסקה בדיגיטציה של תהליכים בתעשיית הרכב, התעופה והאלקטרוניקה ופיתחה כלים לתכנון, סימולציה ואופטימיזציה של מערכי ייצור.[3]

בשנת 2000 ייסד בית־און את קבוצת ויולה, יחד עם שלמה דוברת, אבי זאבי ואהרן דוברת, ושימש כשותף בקרן כרמל ונצ'רס (בהמשך שם הקרן שונה לויולה ונצ'רס).[4]

בין השנים 2004–2006 כיהן כיו"ר חברת ECtel, מקבוצת ECI Telecom.[5]

בשנת 2006 כיהן כיו"ר חברת לומניס.[6] בית־און הצטרף לחברה כשהחברה הייתה על סף פשיטת רגל והוביל בה השקעה של כ־150 מיליון דולר. במהלך כהונתו הונפקה החברה בנאסד"ק ולבסוף נמכרה בשנת 2006 לקבוצת XIO תמורת 514 מיליון דולר.[7]

בשנת 2008 ייסד את ויולה צמיחה (Viola Growth), שהתמקדה בהשקעות צמיחה בחברות טכנולוגיה.

ביוני 2018 מונה בית־און ליו"ר הוועד המנהל של האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים.[8]

בית־און מכהן כחבר דירקטוריון פעיל של כמה חברות: SimilarWeb,[9]‏Pyramid Analytics,[10]‏ Ex:co,‏ Behalf,‏ Cyberint,‏ Glasses USA, וכיו"ר דירקטוריון בגאון אחזקות.[11]

שימש כדירקטור גם בחברות לומניס, עמיעד מערכות מים, אירונאוטיקס, זנד טכנולוגיות ומטומי מדיה גרופ.

קבוצת ההשקעות ויולה

בשנת 1999 נוסדה קרן הון הסיכון "כרמל ונצ'רס" (אשר בשנת 2017 שינתה את שמה לויולה ונצ'רס).[12] הקרן הוקמה מתוך מטרה להעניק תמיכה לחברות סטארטאפ ישראליות בשלבים מוקדמים.[13]

במקביל להקמת כרמל ונצ'רס, הוקמה בשנת 2000, קבוצת ההשקעות ויולה. הקבוצה הוקמה על ידי אהרון דוברת, בנו שלמה דוברת, אבי זאבי, הראל בית־און ורותי שמחה.[14]

בשנת 2008 הקים את ויולה PE (אשר לימים שינתה את שמה לויולה צמיחה), קרן Private Equity להשקעות בחברות טכנולוגיה הנמצאות בשלבי צמיחה ולהן פעילות גלובלית.[15]
