הפיגועים בבנגקוק ב-2012 היו סדרה של פיצוצים שהתרחשו בבנגקוק, תאילנד ב-14 בפברואר 2012, ופצעו חמישה בני אדם. הרשויות בתאילנד אמרו כי הפיצוצים היו ניסיון של אזרחים איראנים להתנקש בדיפלומטים ישראלים.[1] כמה איראנים נעצרו והואשמו בגין מעורבות בפיצוצים, אחד מהם נפצע קשה.

רקע

הפיצוצים אירעו יממה לאחר המתקפות על דיפלומטים ישראלים בטביליסי, גאורגיה וניו דלהי, הודו. ישראל אמרה כי ממשלת איראן עומדת מאחורי הפיצוצים, האשמה שאיראן הכחישה.[2][3]

הפיצוצים

הפיצוץ הראשון אירע בסביבות השעה 14:00 בבית בטוח ברחוב סוקהומביט 71, אותו שכרו המחבלים, שמוטט חלק מגג המבנה. לאחר מכן נמלטו המחבלים מהבית. מוראדי, שנפצע ניסה לעצור מונית. הנהג, שראה את מצבו, סירב לקחת אותו, והוא השליך רימון לעבר המונית, שגרם נזק לרכב ופצע את הנהג. שוטרים שהגיעו לזירה בעקבות הפיצוץ ניסו לעצור את מוראדי, שניסה להימלט באמצעות זריקת רימון נוסף לעברם. הרימון קפץ מעץ וחזר לעברו, התפוצץ וכרת את שתי רגליו,[4] ופצע שלושה אנשים נוספים שהיו באזור.[5]

חקירה

שלושה מהאיראנים שהואשמו בלקיחת חלק בפיצוצים, מוראדי, חזאאי וזאדה, טסו לפוקט שבדרום תאילנד ב-8 בפברואר. לאחר מכן הם נסעו לפטאיה, שם נטען כי בילו חמישה לילות בחברת שלוש זונות, לפני שנסעו לבנגקוק.[6][7][8]

מפקד היחידה לזיהוי פלילי של המשטרה תיאר את הפצצות כ"אחד מאותם מכשירי רדיו טרנזיסטור שאתה יכול לסחוב, אבל החלק הפנימי הוצא והוחלף ב-C-4, כאשר ראש הפצצה מורכב מבריח, סיכה ונפץ המחובר אליו... ממה שראינו, ייתכן שהרכיבים יירכשו בתאילנד. חומר הנפץ לא כל כך מסובך, זה פשוט משהו שלא ממש ראינו במדינה הזו."[9]

גורם רשמי בתאילנד אמר ב-17 בפברואר כי החקירה לא גילתה קשר בין החשודים לקבוצה כלשהי וכי כנראה לא היה ניסיון להרוג את שר הביטחון אהוד ברק, שהיה אמור לבקר במדינה.[10]

חשודים

ב-22 באוגוסט 2013 נידון סעיד מוראדי למאסר עולם ומוחמד חזאי נידון ל-15 שנות מאסר וגירוש.[14]

בנובמבר 2020, במהלך "חילופי שבויים", הוחלפו סעיד מוראדי, מוחמד חזאי ומסעוד סדאגאת זאדה תמורת קיילי מור-גילברט (אנ'),[15] מרצה באוניברסיטה שהוחזקה באיראן במשך שנתיים.[16]

תגובות

מפקד משטרת תאילנד פריופאן דמפונג הנחה את משרד התחבורה להעמיד את ששת שדות התעופה הבינלאומיים במדינה בכוננות גבוהה. נטען כי ההנחיה באה בעקבות דיווחים שסיפק המודיעין הישראלי לפיהם קיימת אפשרות למתקפות נוספות.[17]

משטרת תאילנד ביצעה חיפושים מבניין לבניין סביב בית כנסת ברחוב סוקומוויט, סמוך לבית הבטוח. בית הכנסת כבר היה תחת אבטחה משטרתית 24 שעות ביממה בעקבות מעצרו בינואר של סוכן של חזבאללה.[12]

הלשכה ללוחמה בטרור של הטה לביטחון לאומי פרסמה אזהרת מסע עולמית, המבוססת על מידע לפיו איראן וחזבאללה מתכננות התקפות נוספות נגד ישראלים ויהודים ברחבי העולם.[18]
