הפדרציה של האיגודים המקצועיים וועדי העובדים העצמאיים והדמוקרטים בפלסטין

הפדרציה של האיגודים מקצועיים וועדי העובדים העצמאיים והדמוקרטים בפלסטין, הוקמה כתגובה לחוסר הדמוקרטיה בתוך הפדרציות של ארגוני העובדים הפלסטיניים הוותיקים.

באמצעות מאמציהם של פעילי זכויות עובדים עצמאיים והמרכז לדמוקרטיה וזכויות עובדים (DWRC), מאות ועדי עובדים עצמאיים הצטרפו להתאחדות ועדי העובדים העצמאיים מאז 2004, וקיימו את הכנס הראשון שלהם בשנת 2007.

חשיבות

על-פי חלק מהמשקיפים פסקו הפדרציות הקיימות של ארגוני העובדים ברשות הפלסטינית להיות דמוקרטיות. הפדרציה הכללית הפלסטינית של האיגודים המקצועיים (PGFTU) שנשלטת על ידי הפת"ח, לא קיימה בחירות מאז 1981^[1]^[2]^[3].

בשנת 2007, הביקורת על ה-PGTFU הגיעה לשיאה בייסוד הפדרציה של האיגודים מקצועיים וועדי העובדים העצמאיים והדמוקרטים בפלסטין, המייצג מעל 50,000 עובדים ועובדות, החברים בוועדי עובדים עצמאיים, אשר נבחרו באופן דמוקרטי בכל רחבי הגדה המערבית ועזה . מוחמד אל-עארורי, בעברו איש ה-PGFTU, נבחר לרכז הראשי של הפדרציה החדשה^[4]^[5].

עימותים עם ה-PGFTU

בשנת 2005 שלח ה-PGFTU מכתב לפדרציה הבינלאומית של ארגונים להשכלת עובדים (IFWEA).

בטענה כי "מה שמתייחסים אליו כוועדי עובדים עצמאיים, למעשה מתואמים עם המרכז לדמוקרטיה וזכויות עובדים בראשות מוחמד דהמאן כמו גם עם תנועת החמאס ומפלגת היוזמה הלאומית הפלסטינית בראשות מוסטפא ברגותי."

אישומים מסוג זה, העלולים להביא למאסר של המעורבים, היו במרכזה של מחלוקת קשה של ה-PGFTU עם המרכז לדמוקרטיה וזכויות עובדים (DWRC).
