דארן מקסוול קגאסוף (באנגלית: Daren Maxwell Kagasoff; נולד ב-16 בספטמבר 1987)[1] הוא שחקן קולנוע וטלוויזיה אמריקאי-יהודי, אשר מוכר בעיקר בשל תפקידו בתור ריצ'רד "ריקי" אנדרווד בסדרה "סודות ההתבגרות" ברשת Freeform.

ביוגרפיה

קגאסוף נולד וגדל בשכונת אנסינו בלוס אנג'לס, קליפורניה לאם יהודייה[2], אליס קגאסוף (לבית לוי) ולאב נוצרי, בארי קגאסוף,[3] יהלומן במקצועו. הוא האמצעי מבין שלושה ילדים; יש לו אח גדול יותר, ג'סטין,[4] ואחות צעירה ממנו, נטלי.

קגאסוף סיים את לימודיו בתיכון מונטקלייר בשנת 2005,[5] שם שיחק בנבחרת הבייסבול של בית ספרו.[6] בזמן שלמד באוניברסיטת המדינה בסן פרנסיסקו, קגאסוף החליט להיות שחקן.

קריירה

קגאסוף חזר ללוס אנג'לס, ולוהק לתפקיד הראשי בהפקת תיאטרון מקומית של Suburbia , מחזה שהסרט בעל אותו השם משנת 1996 התבסס עליו.

לאחר שסיים את לימודי משחק, החל להיבחן לתפקידי טלוויזיה וקולנוע. במהלך אחד האודישנים הראשונים שלו, הוא הרשים את המפיקה ברנדה המפטון עד כדי כך שהיא בחרה בו לככב בתפקיד ריקי אנדרווד בסדרת הנעורים "סודות התבגרות" . הסדרה הוקרנה במשך חמש עונות.[7]

ב-24 בפברואר 2013 פורסם כי קגאסוף לוהק לתפקיד אלכס בפיילוט של פוקס דליריום, המבוסס על הרומן מאת לורן אוליבר .[8][9] עם זאת, הפיילוט לא נמכר לסדרה.

קגאסוף שיחק בסרט האימה העל טבעי "הסיאנס",[10] בבימויו של סטיילס ווייט. הסרט יצא לאקרנים באוקטובר 2014.

בספטמבר 2014, קגאסוף הצטרף לצוות השחקנים של "רד בנד סוסייטי", סדרת דרמה קומית בעונת הטלוויזיה האמריקאית 2014–15 שפותחה על ידי מרגרט נאגל. בסדרה שיחק בתפקיד חוזר שגילם את מושא האהבה של קארה, האנטר קול.[11] הסדרה עלתה לראשונה ב-17 בספטמבר 2014 ובוטלה לאחר עונה אחת[12][13].

בשנת 2019 שיחק בתפקיד ראשי בסדרת הטלוויזיה "הכפר".[14]
