חיים אישיים

בררדינלי נולד בניו ברנזוויק שבניו ג'רזי, ובילה את ילדותו במוריסטאון שבניו ג'רזי.^[1] כשהיה בן תשע עברה משפחתו לעיירה צ'רי היל (אנ').^[2] בהמשך עבר להתגורר בעיירה פיסקטאוויי (אנ').^[3]

הוא למד באוניברסיטת פנסילבניה בין השנים 1985–1990, והשלים תואר ראשון במדעים ותואר שני בהנדסת חשמל.^[1] לאחר סיום לימודיו עבד בחברת בלקור, שכיום שמה iconectiv. הוא עבד במהלך 15 השנים הבאות "במגוון תחומים, כולל סיבים אופטיים, בדיקות וידאו ומערכות תוכנה".

המבקר המקצועי רוג'ר איברט התייחס לברנרנלי כ"מבקר האינטרנטי הטוב ביותר",^[11] וכתב הקדמה לספרו של בררדינלי "Reelviews", שהוא אוסף של ביקורות שלו.^[12] בררדינלי חבר באיגוד מבקרי הקולנוע המשודר (אנ'),^[13] והוא מבקר מאושר ב-Rotten Tomatoes.^[14]
