אלבום רמיקס

The Remixes, של הזמרת הקולומביאנית שאקירה, הוא אלבום הרמיקס הלטיני הנמכר ביותר בכל הזמנים.

אלבום רמיקס או אלבום רמיקסים (באנגלית: Remix album) הוא אלבום המכיל בעיקר רמיקסים או גרסאות אקוסטיות של שירים אשר נכללו בדרך כלל בתוך אלבום אולפן או מיני-אלבום במקור. לרוב, הרמיקסים נעשים על ידי די ג'יים ומפיקים מוזיקליים שונים.

ישנם רמיקסים בהם משתתפים או מתארחים אמנים, פזמונאים וכדומה אשר לא השתתפו בשיר המקורי, כדוגמת השיר "Ain't It Funny"[1] של הזמרת האמריקאית ג'ניפר לופז, אשר בגרסת הרמיקס "Ain't It Funny (Murder Remix)" שיצאה עבורו התארח הראפר ג'ה רול.[2]

היסטוריה

Aerial Pandemonium Ballet של הארי נילסון, אשר יצא בשנת 1971, הוא אחד מאלבומי הרמיקסים הראשונים שיצאו, ויש האומרים כי הוא אלבום הרמיקסים הראשון בהיסטוריה.[3] עם מרוצת השנים יצאו עשרות אלפי אלבומי רמיקסים, אשר כללו בתוכם רמיקסים לשירים מתוך אלבומים, מיני-אלבומים וכדומה.

אלבום הרמיקסים הראשון אשר זכה להצלחה עולמית היה You Can Dance, של הזמרת מדונה, שיצא בשנת 1987.[4]

נכון לשנת 2018, אלבום הרמיקס הנמכר ביותר בכל הזמנים הוא Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix של מייקל ג'קסון. אלבום הרמיקס הנשי הנמכר ביותר בכל הזמנים הוא You Can Dance של מדונה ואלבום הרמיקס הלטיני הנמכר ביותר בכל הזמנים הוא The Remixes של שאקירה.
