שחר פרקיס (נולד ב-14 באוקטובר 1962 בחיפה), טניסאי ישראלי בעבר. הוא אלוף ישראל בטניס ארבע פעמים ברציפות (1988–1991). בשיאו דורג במקום 53 בעולם ליחידים (4 במרץ 1985) ובמקום 54 בעולם לזוגות[1].

ביוגרפיה

פרקיס נולד בחיפה והתחיל לשחק טניס בגיל 7 במועדון טניס כרמל אצל המאמן מולי דנק. בגיל 9 השתתף בתחרות הארצית הראשונה שלו לגילאי 10 וזכה במקום הראשון. עד גיל 13 שיחק גם כדורסל, עד שהחליט להתמקד אך ורק בטניס.

מגיל 14, התאמן במרכז לטניס בישראל ברמת השרון עם פתיחתו ב-1976, ונסע בתדירות של פעמיים בשבוע להתאמן בהדרכתו של המאמן האוסטרלי רון סטיל[2]. בדצמבר 1977 הגיע לגמר אליפות אוסטרליה הפתוחה לנוער עד גיל 16[3]. באפריל 1978 זכה באליפות ישראל לנוער עד גיל 16[4].

קריירה כשחקן מקצועי

בסוף 1980 פרקיס החל להתחרות בסבב המקצועני לגברים (ATP) ושיחק 31 משחקים כחבר בנבחרת גביע דייוויס של ישראל בין השנים 1981 ל-1992 וניצח ב-18 מהם, כולל 11 ניצחונות מ-13 משחקים על משטחים קשים. בין השאר השתתף במפגש ההיסטורי בין נבחרת ישראל לנבחרת ברית המועצות ב-1984[5].

ניצחונות בולטים ביחידים על שחקנים כגון בוריס בקר מגרמניה בגרנד פרי של ממפיס ב-1985[6], וויטק פיבק, אהרון קריקסטין, הרולד סולמון, ביל סקנלון, יעקב לאסק ואחרים. הוא הגיע למשחק גמר זוגות (יחד עם שלמה גליקשטיין) בטורניר מונטה קרלו בשנת 1985. בשלב חצי הגמר הם ניצחו את מאטס וילאנדר ויוהקים ניסטרום (אלופי וימבלדון). ושיחק בגמר הזוגות עם עמוס מנסדורף בטורניר יוהנסבורג[7].

במאי 1985 נתגלה מום בליבו, אך לאחר הפסקה קצרה המשיך להתחרות[8]. בקיץ 1986 נשלח לבדיקות נוספות בגרמניה, והחליט לפרוש באופן חלקי מטניס מקצועני[9].

באולימפיאדת סיאול (1988) השתתף פרקיס אך הודח בסיבוב הראשון על ידי טניסאי מארגנטינה חוויאר פראנה[10].

באוקטובר 1988 זכה לראשונה באליפות ישראל[11].

קריירה כמאמן ומנהל

בספטמבר 1987 מונה פרקיס למאמן נבחרת הנשים של ישראל[12]. במקביל החל ללמוד לתואר ראשון ואחר כך לתואר תואר שני בכלכלה בתוכנית המשולבת של הטכניון ואוניברסיטת חיפה.

פרקיס ניהל את מרכז הטניס בחיפה בין השנים 1991 עד 2005 ובשנת 2005 שימש כמנכ"ל איגוד הטניס במשך שנה[13]. משנת 2006 עד 2013 הוא ניהל את מועדון הספורט הוד הכרמל בשכונת דניה בחיפה. מאז 2013 פרקיס מאמן טניס במגרשי הטניס של אוניברסיטת חיפה במסגרת ITP ומשמש יועץ לשחקני טניס חובבים ומקצועיים בכל הגילאים.

חיים אישיים

פרקיס מתגורר בחיפה ונשוי לרונה ואב לארבעה ילדים: שיר, תו, מיתר וסול. בשנת 2016 התפרסמה האוטוביוגרפיה שלו טניסאי וג'נטלמן - סיפורו של שחר פרקיס[14].
