פגיון ירוק

פגיון ירוק הוא תרגיל צבאי בן חמישה ימים הנערך מדי שנה במרכז הלחימה הקרקעית של חיל הנחתים[1] ב- Twentynine Palms במדבר מוהאבי בארצות הברית. משתתפים בו כוחות נחתים ממספר מדינות: מרינס (ארצות הברית), הנחתים המלכותיים של בריטניה, הולנד, איחוד האמירויות וקנדה.[2]

פגיון ירוק 2021

בתרגול של כוחות המרינס האמריקנים והבריטים, גברו הבריטים (תוקפים) על האמריקנים (מגינים).[3] הכוחות תירגלו באזור מדברי והררי בשטח 3500 קמ"ר, שכלל אזורים מיושבים (על ידי שחקנים), גודלו של השטח הקשה על הכוחות ויצר אילוצים לוגסטיים, לצורך המענה הלוגיסטי השתמשו בין היתר בהדפסות תלת־ממדיות. בתחילת התרגיל, החזיקו הבריטים ב-20% מהשטח ובסיומו 65%, לאחר פגיעה רציפה בפו"ש וציוד חיוני אמריקני. הלחימה כללה סיוע אווירי וארטילרי.[4]

האימון ב-2021 היה אימון הקמה לשני כוחות משימה גלובלים (Littoral Response Group (LRG, בריטים. האחד מורכב מ-500 נחתים בריטים- ו-120 הולנדים אניות וכלי טיס, יוצב מזרחית לסואץ. כוח נוסף יוצב בבריטניה.
