עמנואלה ברש רובינשטיין היא סופרת ישראלית וחוקרת בתחום מדעי הרוח.

ביוגרפיה

עמנואלה ברש רובינשטיין נולדה בירושלים לחוקר האמנות משה ברש. היא השלימה תואר בוגר בספרות השוואתית ובפילוסופיה ותואר מוסמך במדע הדתות באוניברסיטה העברית. עבודת הדוקטורט שלה עסקה בפרשנות ספרותית ודתית לשואה. היא לימדה בתוכנית למדעי הדתות באוניברסיטת תל אביב ועתה היא מלמדת במרכז הבינתחומי הרצליה.

ברש רובינשטיין פרסמה שלושה ספרים מדעיים שדנים בפרשנות תרבותית של הנאציזם והשואה. שניים ראו אור באנגלית (מפיסטו ברייך השלישי בהוצאת דה גרויטר, השטן, הקדושים והכנסייה בהוצאת פיטר לאנג) ואחד בעברית (השטן הנאצי בהוצאת מאגנס). היא גם תרגמה ספרים אחדים מאנגלית לעברית.

לאחר מכן פנתה ברש רובינשטיין לכתיבת ספרות יפה. קובץ סיפורים שכתבתה ותרגמה לאנגלית (פייב סלבס בהוצאת הולנד האוס בוקס) ראה אור בבריטניה וזכה לביקורות נלהבות.[1][2] הרומן לידה התפרסם בהוצאת הקיבוץ המאוחד (2018).תרגום לאנגלית של הרומן פורסם בבריטניה (2021).[3] סיפורים קצרים שכתבה פורסמו בירחוני ספרות בארצות הברית.[4][5] היא בעלת הבלוג על עצמנו ועל אחרים, שעוסק בנושאי תרבות שונים.

בעלה, יונה רובינשטיין, הוא פרופסור לכלכלה בלונדון סקול אוף אקונומיקס, ויש להם שלושה ילדים.
