עונת 1964/1965 בליגה הלאומית בכדורסל הייתה עונתה ה-11 של ליגת הכדורסל הבכירה בישראל. הליגה גדלה ל-14 קבוצות.

על ניצחון במשחק הוענקו שתי נקודות ונקודה בודדת הוענקה על ההפסד במשחק. לליגה העליונה עלו הפועל רמת גן והפועל קריית חיים. העונה הסדירה החלה ב-9 באוקטובר 1964 הסתיימה ב-27 ביולי 1965 בניצחון של הפועל תל אביב בפעם השלישית בתולדותיה. הקבוצה לא הפסידה באף משחק במהלך העונה.

במהלך העונה, עקב סכסוך של אגודת מכבי עם ועדת הכדורסל, נעדרו כל 14 קבוצות אגודת מכבי מהמשחקים בסיום העונה בכלל הליגות, ביניהן בליגה הלאומית: מכבי תל אביב, מכבי קריית מוצקין, מכבי חיפה ומכבי פתח תקווה. הסכסוך התעורר עקב חששות מרכז מכבי לגבי כשרות מספר משחקים בין קבוצות הפועל שלטענתם נמכרו, כשהטענות העיקריות כוונו לעבר המשחק בו ניצחה הפועל גבעת חיים את הפועל חולון 59:65. מכבי תל אביב ספגה 4 הפסדים טכניים בסיום העונה, מכבי חיפה ומכבי קריית מוצקין 3, ומכבי פתח תקווה 6 הפסדים טכניים שהורידו את הקבוצה לליגה השנייה.

בהתאם לתוצאות העונה הפועל רמת גן ומכבי פתח תקווה ירדו ליגה.
