מלך הכיתה (באנגלית: The D Train) הוא סרט דרמה קומית משנת 2015 בבימויים של ג'ארד פול ואנדרו מוגל, בכיכובם של ג'ק בלאק וג'יימס מרסדן. הסרט מתמקד בסיפורו של דן (ג'ק בלאק), גבר שחי חיים אפורים ומנסה לארגן פגישת מחזור לתיכון. הוא מחליט לנסוע ללוס אנג'לס כדי לשכנע את אוליבר (ג'יימס מרסדן), תלמיד לשעבר שהפך לשחקן מצליח, להשתתף בפגישה כדי להרים את מעמדו החברתי.

הסרט הוקרן בבכורה בפסטיבל הסרטים סאנדנס ה-11 ב-23 בינואר 2015, והוקרן בארצות הברית ב-8 במאי 2015 על ידי IFC Films .

עלילה

דן לנדסמן, איש משפחה שמרגיש כישלון חברתי, משמש כראש ועדת פגישת המחזור בתיכון. הוא מבין שהדרך להצלחת הפגישה היא להביא את אוליבר לו, כוכב לשעבר שלאחר שעבר שחלף מאור הזרקורים החל להופיע בפרסומות. דן יוצא ללוס אנג'לס כדי לשכנע אותו להגיע לפגישה, אך המפגש ביניהם מסתבך. לאורך הדרך, דן מתמודד עם שאלות של זהות, חברויות והערכה עצמית.

ב-10 בפברואר 2014, הוכרז שג'ק בלאק וג'יימס מרסדן יככבו בסרט קומדיה, בבימוי הבכורה של ג'ראד פול ואנדרו מוגל, אותו הפיק Electric Dynamite של בלאק עם RipCord Productions של מייק ווייט ובן לאת'ם-ג'ונס וברנבי תומפסון מאולפני אילינג .[1][2]
