כַּנּוֹת הוא מוסד חינוכי באזור הדרום ליד גדרה השייך למועצה האזורית באר טוביה. המוסד שייך לארגון נעמת ומשמש ככפר נוער.

מקור שם המוסד הוא “כנה” שפירושו שתיל מתחדש, השם ניתן לו משום אופי הכפר שעבר גלגולים ושינויים רבים ומתוך אמונה בערכי שורשיות וחדשנות[3].

היסטוריה

אבן פינה למוסד הונח באוגוסט 1951[4]. המוסד נפתח באוקטובר 1952 עם כ-100 תלמידים, בשתי כיתות מכינות ושתי כיתות תיכון מטעם עליית הנוער, על ידי מועצת הפועלות של ההסתדרות הכללית, הודות לתרומה של "פיונרן פרויען" מארצות הברית[5][6][7]. ב-3 בדצמבר 1952 התקיים טקס פתיחה רשמי בנוכחות בבה אידלסון, אברהם הרצפלד ומשה קול מעליית הנוער, בהובלת המנהלת הראשונה של בית הספר, אסתר פכהולץ[8].

בשנת הלימודים השנייה עלה מספר התלמידים ל-115[9]. ב-2 באוגוסט 1955 התקיים טקס סיום של המחזור הראשון של בית הספר. דווח אז שכל הבוגרים מתכוונים להתגייס לנח"ל[10]. בשנת 1956 הגיע מספר התלמידים בבית הספר לכ-150[11]. מחזור ראשון לסיים ארבע שנות לימוד בבית הספר, סיים באוגוסט 1956[12]. רוב הבוגרים הצטרפו לגרעין נח"ל בעין גב. ארבעה בוגרים פנו ללמוד בפקולטה לחקלאות ברחובות[13]. בשנת 1958 הוסכם על הקמת כיתת יום ללא פנימיה בבית הספר[14].
