רייפורד טריי יאנג (באנגלית: Rayford Trae Young; נולד ב-19 בספטמבר 1998) הוא כדורסלן אמריקאי, המשחק בקבוצת אטלנטה הוקס מליגת ה-NBA. יכולתו הגבוהה ברגעים מכריעים במשחק הקנתה לו את הכינוי "Ice Trae".

קריירת תיכונים ומכללות

יאנג נולד בעיר לאבק שבטקסס ובבגרותו למד בתיכון נורמן שבאוקלהומה. בשנתו השלישית בתיכון קלע 43.2 נקודות בממוצע למשחק עבור קבוצת בית ספרו, ובשנתו האחרונה שיפר את תפוקתו ל-44 נקודות למשחק. בשתי העונות זכה בתואר שחקן התיכונים המצטיין של אוקלהומה, ובסיום לימודיו נבחר להשתתף במשחק מקדונלד'ס אול-אמריקן המציג את שחקני התיכונים המצטיינים בארצות הברית.[1]

בשנת 2017 החל ללמוד באוניברסיטת אוקלהומה, והפך במהרה לאחד משחקני המכללות הבולטים בארצות הברית. ב-19 בדצמבר השווה את שיא ליגת המכללות כשמסר 22 אסיסטים בניצחון קבוצתו מול אוניברסיטת נורת'ווסטרן.[2] בעונתו היחידה באוקלהומה הפך יאנג לשחקן הראשון אי פעם שמוביל את כל שחקני ליגת המכללות בממוצעי נקודות למשחק (27.4) ואסיסטים למשחק (8.7) באותה עונה, ובסיום העונה נבחר לחמישיית העונה של ליגת המכללות.[3][4] על אף יכולתו הגבוהה של יאנג אכזבה קבוצתו כשהודחה כבר בסיבוב הראשון של טורניר אליפות המכללות.

במרץ 2018 הודיע יאנג על כוונתו לוותר על שלוש שנות לימודיו הנותרות באוניברסיטה, ולהעמיד את עצמו לבחירה בדראפט הNBA באותה תקופה זכה יאנג להשוואות רבות לשחקן ה-NBA סטפן קרי, בשל סגנון משחקו ויכולות הקליעה שלו.[5][6]

קריירה מקצועית

בדראפט ה-NBA 2018 נבחר יאנג על ידי דאלאס מאבריקס בבחירה החמישית, ומיד נשלח בטרייד לאטלנטה הוקס, יחד עם בחירת דראפט עתידית, בתמורה ללוקה דונצ'יץ'.[7] ב-1 במרץ 2019 קלע יאנג שיא קריירה של 49 נקודות במשחק שנגרר לארבע הארכות מול שיקגו בולס.[8] לאורך עונת הרוקי קלע 19.1 נקודות ומסר 8.1 אסיסטים בממוצע למשחק, ובסיומה נבחר לחמישיית הרוקיז של העונה.

בעונתו השנייה ב-NBA נבחר להשתתף במשחק האולסטאר, כשחקן חמישייה ב"נבחרת המזרח". ב-20 בפברואר 2020 שבר את שיאו האישי, כאשר קלע 50 נקודות בניצחון קבוצתו מול מיאמי היט.[9] לאורך אותה עונה קלע 29.6 נקודות ומסר 9.3 אסיסטים בממוצע למשחק. בעונת 20/21 לאחר שנים גרועות של אטלנטה יאנג הוביל אותם אל הפלייאוף, במשחק הראשון פגשו אטלנטה את ניו יורק ניקס ונצחו את הסדרה 4-1 לאחר מכן פגשו את פילדלפיה 76 לאחר שיאנג מוביל את קבוצתו לסדרה מותחת 4-3. בגמר המזרח פגשו את מילווקי באקס שכבר במשחק הראשון בסדרה יאנג סיים עם 48 נקודות בניצחון קבוצתו. ההוקס הפסידו בסדרה 4-2 לאחר שבמשחק השלישי במצב 1-1 בין הקבוצות נפצע יאנג כאשר נתקל בשופט הקו וסובב את קרסולו. בעונת 21/22 נבחר בפעם השנייה בקריירה למשחק האולסטאר לקבוצה של קווין דוראנט. ב-4 בינואר שבר יאנג את שיא הקריירה שלו שסיים עם 56 נקודות והוסיף להם גם 14 אסיסטים בהפסד קבוצתו לפורטלנד טרייל בלייזרס.

בעונת 2023/2024, נבחר יאנג בפעם השלישית למשחק האולסטאר, כאשר הוא מחליף את ג'וליוס רנדל הפצוע.
