המינהל הווטרינרי של משרד הפנים הרוסי

המינהל הווטרינרי של משרד הפנים של האימפריה הרוסית (ברוסית: Ветеринарное управление МВД Российской империи) היה גוף של משרד הפנים של האימפריה הרוסית שהוקם באפריל 1901 בסנקט פטרבורג. מטהו היה ממוקם בכיכר תיאטרלניה מספר 3 וכבש חלקית את בניין הקונסרבטוריון.[1]

  • מניעת מחלות מידבקות בחיות בית ובעלי חיים[2]
  • ארגון בתי חולים וטרינריים, בתי ספר ומעבדות
  • איסוף מידע על המצב הווטרינרי והסניטרי של פרובינציות האימפריה הרוסית
  • עריכת הוראות עבור עבודת הווטרינרים
  • עריכת דו"חות על ייצוא מוצרים לבעלי חיים ובעלי חיים מחוץ למדינה
  • פיתוח אמצעים לשימור מוצרי בשר מתכלים
  • איסוף דו"חות על אחוז איסוף הבקר לפי מחוזות האימפריה

בשנת 1917 הועבר המינהל הווטרינרי של משרד הפנים למינהל המפקח הרפואי הראשי של משרד הפנים. בשנת 1918 הוקמה המחלקה הווטרינרית תחת הקומיסריון העממי לענייני פנים ברפובליקה הסוציאליסטית הסובייטית הפדרטיבית הרוסית, שפורק לבסוף בשנת 1919.

מדענים וזואטולוגים מפורסמים ששירתו במינהל הווטרינרי במשרד הפנים

  • ולנטין נגורסקי – אפיזואטולוג, מהדר החקיקה הווטרינרית הראשונה בנושא מאבק ומניעת אפיזואטיקה ברוסיה.
  • ארקדי רייבסקי – מדען-אפיזואטולוג, מארגן מעבדות בקטריולוגיות רבות.
  • יבגני דז'ונקובסקי[3] – פרוטוזואולוג, הקים לראשונה את הגורם הסיבתי של תיאילריוזיס בבקר.
  • סרגיי גרינצר[4] – וטרינר, מחבר היצירה "המצב הנוכחי של העניינים הווטרינריים ברוסיה".[5]
  • פרופסור ניקולאי מיכין – ראש המחלקה בשנת 1917.
