דגל האנושות

דגל האנושות או דגל כדור הארץ הוא דגל שנועד לייצג את כדור הארץ, האנושות וממשלה עולמית.

ברבות השנים הוצעו מספר דגלים לייצוג על ידי מעצבים שונים.

הצעות לדגלים

ג'ון מקקוניל, פעיל שלום, עיצב דגל בשנת 1970 בהשראת תצלום כדור הארץ המפורסם The Blue Marble.

בשנת 1970 הציע ג'יימס וו. קאדל, חקלאי מהומר, אילינוי, את הגרסה שלו לדגל כדור הארץ. הדגל מורכב מעיגול כחול המייצג את כדור הארץ, ממוקם במרכז הדגל; עיגול צהוב, המייצג את השמש, ממוקם בצד שמאל של המפה; עיגול לבן קטן, המייצג את הירח, ממוקם בפינה הימנית התחתונה של הדגל. רקע הדגל שחור.

אחד הדגלים המוכרים עוצב על ידי המעצב השוודי אוסקר פרנפלדט בשנת 2015.

דגל האנושות

לטענתו, אמור לשמש כדגל הרשמי של כוכב הלכת ארץ בעתיד[1]. בנוסף, פרנפלט רואה בדגל סיבה לאחדות המין האנושי בדרך לחלל[2]. החזון של יוצרי הדגל ומפיציו הוא לשגר חללית למאדים שבה יונף דגל האנושות כולה ולא דגל לאומי, וזה יהיה סימן לאחדות אנושית[3]. פרנפלדט אמר כי "במסעות הנוכחיים לחלל החיצון משתמשים בדגלים של לאומים שונים בהתאם למדינה שמממנת את המראה. עם זאת, הנוסעים בחלל הם לא רק נציגים של מדינותיהם. הם נציגים של כדור הארץ"[3].

עיצוב הדגל נועד לשמש מעיין 'תרכיז' של כל מה שיש בכדור הארץ[4]. הדגל כחול כמי האוקיינוסים ובו שבעה עיגולים המסמנים כל אחד את אחת היבשות. העיגולים יוצרים יחדיו צורה של פרח, שלטענת פרנפלדט הוא סמל החיים על הכוכב[2]. סוכנות החלל הישראלית SpaceIL ציינה את הדגל כאחד מהמתחרים הבולטים במרוץ הדגלים שיונפו במאדים[5]. הדגל הונף בקוטב הצפוני על ידי משלחת של תומכי הדגל[6].

מדע בדיוני

בסדרת הטלוויזיה האמריקאית פיוצ'רמה, נטען שבשנת 3000 העולם מנוהל תחת ממשלה עולמית.

הדגל שלו, מכיל שלושה עשר פסים אופקיים, לסירוגין בין אדום ללבן, עם אזור כחול בפינה השמאלית העליונה, המכיל גלובוס, כאשר אמריקה מתוארת באופן בולט במרכז. בהשראת דגל ארצות הברית. הדגל הופיע לראשונה בפרק 12 של העונה הראשונה "כאשר חייזרים תוקפים", והופיע באופן בולט בפרק 5 בעונה הרביעית "טעם של חופש".
