ג'ורג'ו בלאדונה (באיטלקית: Giorgio Belladonna; ‏7 ביוני 1923 - 12 במאי 1995) היה שחקן ברידג' איטלקי שנחשב לאחד מגדולי שחקני הברידג' בכל הזמנים.

קריירה

בלאדונה זכה ב-16 אליפויות עולם לקבוצות ביחד עם חבריו לקבוצה הכחולה שייצגה את איטליה ונחשבת קבוצת הברידג' הטובה ביותר בכל הזמנים. שותפו בקבוצה זו בחלק מאליפויות העולם היה בניטו גארוצו, וביתר האליפויות ולטר אווארלי.

איגוד הברידג' העולמי (WBF) דירג אותו כראשון בעולם במשך שנים רבות. בנוסף לכך הוא זכה עשר פעמים באליפות אירופה לקבוצות בשנים 1956 עד 1979 ושלוש פעמים במקום ראשון באולימפיאדות לברידג' בשנים 1964, 1968 ו-1972. בלאדונה נחשב גם לתאורטיקן חשוב. הוא הממציא העיקרי של שיטת ההכרזה רומן קלאב וביחד עם גארוצו המציא את שיטת ההכרזה Super Precision.

בלאדונה נחשב לממציא הרעיון של משחק בקלף קטן מתחת לקלף גדול. טכניקת משחק כזו מכונה בז'רגון המקצועי של שחקני ברידג' Belladonna coup^[1]

ביוגרפיה

בלאדונה היה עובד ציבור שהתגורר ברומא. בצעירותו היה שחקן כדורגל. הוא למד ארכיטקטורה ומשפטים אך לא סיים את לימודיו. בשנת 1944 למד ברידג', אבל הפך למקצוען שאינו עובד בעבודה אחרת רק לאחר 26 שנים.

בלאדונה היה נשוי ואב לבן ובת.

בשלהי הקריירה שלו שיחק בקבוצת ברידג' מקצוענית של עומר שריף שהופיעה במשחקי ראווה.
