O rombo é un paralelogramo equiangular. [1]

Características

Diferénciase doutros polígonos de catro lados porque:

  1. Os seus lados teñen todos o mesmo tamaño.
  2. As diagonais son perpendiculares.
  3. As diagonais son bisectrices do seus ángulos opostos.

Un rombo defínese habitualmente pola lonxitude das súas diagonais, que reciben o nome de diagonal maior (D) e diagonal menor (d). Se ambas miden o mesmo, trátase dun cadrado.
