San Xián de Romai é unha parroquia que se localiza no concello de Portas. Segundo o IGE en 2010 tiña 979 habitantes (518 mulleres e 461 homes), 18 menos ca en 1999. Ten doce entidades de poboación.

Patrimonio

Houbo un poboado castrexo no Peso, en Romai Vello. Nel atopouse unha ara votiva romana, conservada no Museo de Pontevedra.

A igrexa parroquial é de orixe románica. A fachada ten a portada de arco apuntado e dobre arquivolta. No interior do templo hai un arco triunfal de medio punto. Preto do templo hai un cruceiro coa imaxe da Virxe das Dores, e hai outro máis no lugar de Cubelo.

Na década de 1980 construíuse un velódromo en terreos da comunidade de montes.[2]
