San Bieito de Rabiño é unha parroquia do concello de Cortegada, situada na provincia de Ourense, na comarca do Ribeiro. No ano 2007 tiña 176 habitantes, dos cales 85 eran homes e 91 eran mulleres. Limita ao Norte con Meréns e Louredo, ao leste con Soutelo, ao sur coa Barca e ao oeste co Río Miño.

Historia

En 1893 constituíronse as novas parroquias de Cortegada e Louredo, segregándose de Rabiño.[2]

Patrimonio

  • Muíños da levada, aproveitando o regato que nace en Louredo e baixa ata o Miño.
  • Capela da Santa Mariña de Soutelo.
  • Igrexa parroquial: templo barroco construída baixo o dominio do veciño mosteiro de Celanova. A igrexa é de planta de cruz latina en granito do país, cunha soa nave cuberta de arcos de medio punto ata desembocar no cruceiro, onde se forman tres bóvedas sostidas por nervaduras, de catro brazos nos laterais e dezaseis na bóveda da cabeza, onde o deseño debuxa un rombo dividido en catro espazos de lados convexos, as nervaduras están pintadas ou ben son de mármore veteado marrón; as capelas laterais ostentan como claves das súas nervaduras debuxos do sol e a lúa humanizados por un rostro, as claves das nervaduras da bóveda principal teñen decoración vexetal, unha cruz asturiana e unha lúa acompañada de dúas estrelas. Na sancristía a bóveda está sostida por catro nervaduras reunidas nunha clave que ten tallado un sombreiro eclesiástico de dúas puntas. Tanto as bóvedas laterais como a central conservan pintura.
  • Milladoiro único na provincia de Ourense, de grande altura e con bóveda de nervios gardando un cruceiro.
  • Peto de ánimas do Rabiño.
  • Reitoral do Rabiño, edificio civil barroco.
  • Probes dos carabiñeiros/ que andan de noite á xiada/ namentras pasa a ramboia/ camiño de Cortegada [3].
