Poxa

Unha poxa,[1] almoeda[2] ou proia[3] adoita ser un proceso de compravenda de bens ou servizos baseado na competencia directa e, polo xeral, pública. O comprador que pague a maior cantidade de diñeiro ou de bens a cambio do produto. O ben poxado adxudícase ao ofertante que máis diñeiro ofrecese por el.

A poxa aberta de prezos ascendentes é, sen dúbida, a forma máis común de poxa utilizada ao longo da historia.[4] Os participantes ofertan abertamente uns contra outros, sendo cada oferta superior á anterior.[5] Un poxador pode anunciar os prezos, mentres que os ofertantes ou puxadores presentan ofertas de forma vocal ou electrónica.[5]

As poxas aplícanse para o comercio en diversos contextos. Estes contextos inclúen antigüidades, pinturas, obxectos de colección raros, viños caros, mercadorías, gando, espectro de radio, coches usados, inmobles, publicidade en liña, paquetes de vacacións, comercio de emisións e moitos máis.
