San Pedro do Val de Xestoso é unha parroquia que se localiza no centro do concello de Monfero na comarca do Eume. Segundo o IGE en 2013 tiña 417 habitantes (203 mulleres e 214 homes) distribuídos en 39 entidades de poboación, o que supón unha diminución en relación ao ano 1999 cando tiña 538 habitantes.

Historia

Até 1897 só existía a parroquia de Xestoso, mais nese ano ficou dividida en dúas: o propio Val de Xestoso e mailo Alto de Xestoso.[2]
