Martín de la Puente Riobó, nado en Vigo o 22 de xuño de 1999, é un tenista paralímpico galego. No ámbito nacional foi 6 veces Campión de España e número 1 da clasificación nacional. Participou nos Xogos Paralímpicos de Río de Xaneiro de 2016 e Toquio de 2020. Pertence ao Real Club Náutico de Vigo.[1]


Traxectoria

A cidade de Vigo ós seus atletas.[2]

Aos dous anos de idade foi diagnosticado con síndrome de Proteus no Hospital de la Paz, en Madrid. Con 14 anos acumulou un total de 16 operacións, incluíndo a amputación do pé esquerdo.

Con apenas 14 anos conseguiu o seu primeiro Campionato de España, e nas seguintes temporadas conseguiu tres veces consecutivas o Campionato do Mundo sub 18. No ano 2016 acudiu aos Xogos Paralímpicos de Río de Xaneiro, sendo o deportista máis mozo da súa modalidade, con tan só 17 anos e acadando un Diploma Paralímpico. Tamén participou nos Xogos de Toquio de 2020.

En 2022 posicionouse como número 1 da clasificación mundial de tenis en cadeira de rodas, na categoría de dobres, tras conseguir o seu primeiro Gran Slam, o Open dos Estados Unidos e a Copa de Mestres en categoría de dobres.

Graduouse no ano 2023 en Administración e Dirección de Empresas.
