O Club Waterpolo Redondela (usualmente CW Redondela) foi un equipo de wáter-polo de Redondela, activo entre 1999 e 2009.[1]

Historia

Fundouse en 1999 e participou en varias edicións na primeira división da Liga Galega de Wáter-polo. En 2008 deixou de participar na liga galega absoluta, xa que a Piscina Municipal de Redondela, onde o CW xogaba como local, non cumpría as condicións requiridas pola Federación Galega de Natación.[2] Malia a desaparición do equipo absoluto masculino, o club continuou competindo en categorías inferiores. En 2009 o club desfíxose de xeito definitivo, cando o equipo xuvenil, o único que participaba na liga galega ese ano, non se inscribiu na competición.

Logros

O CW Redondela non posúe ningún título na categoría absoluta da Liga Galega de Wáter-polo. Porén, na tempada 2004/2005 alcanzou o seu teito histórico no baremo de clubs galegos. Nese ano, obtivo o quinto posto no baremo por equipos, isto é, converteuse no quinto mellor equipo de Galicia.[3] Nesa tempada obtivo unha cualificación de 3925 puntos, só superado polo CN Coruña (18.050), o Club Marina Ferrol (16.250), CW Galaico (13.100) e CW Santiago (11.975).

Na tempada 2004/2005, o CW Redondela quedou en terceira posición no Campionato Galego de Waterpolo Infantil de Inverno, ao se impor ao CW Santiago por dous tantos a un.[4]
