Robert L. "Bob" Dandridge, nado o 15 de novembro de 1947 en Richmond, Virxinia, é un ex xogador profesional de baloncesto estadounidense que disputou trece tempadas na NBA. Con 1,98 metros de altura xogaba na posición de escolta.

Traxectoria deportiva

Universidade

Xogou durante catro tempadas cos Spartans da Universidade de Norfolk State, cos que gañou o campionato da CIAA en 1968 tras vencer en 25 dos 27 partidos disputados esa tempada. Tras finalizar a súa carreira converteuse no sétimo máximo anotador (1740 puntos) e reboteador (998) da historia de Norfolk State.[1] Foi elixido All-American.[2]

Profesional

Foi elixido na cuarta rolda do Draft da NBA de 1969, no posto 45, por Milwaukee Bucks. A pesar do baixo da súa elección, rapidamente se fixo co posto de titular, sendo elixido ese ano no Mellor quinteto de rookies da NBA, tras facer 13,2 puntos, 7,7 rebotes e 3,6 asistencias por partido.[3] Ao ano seguinte, coa incorporación ao equipo de Oscar Robertson e o liderado de Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, conseguiron gañar o seu primeiro anel de campións da NBA, sendo o terceiro xogador máis importante tras os dous mencionados, achegando 18,4 puntos e 8 rebotes por encontro.[4]

Xogou outro seis tempadas cos Bucks, mantendo sempre unhas excelentes medias, sen baixar nunca dos 18 puntos e 6 rebotes por partido. Na tempada 1977-78, xa con 30 anos, foi traspasado a Washington Bullets, onde se atopou con outro dúo de futuros membros do Basketball Hall of Fame, Elvin Hayes e Wes Unseld. Xunto a eles gañaría o seu segundo e último anel de campión da NBA, tras derrotar nas Finais a Seattle SuperSonics por 4-3. Dandridge foi o segundo máximo anotador do equipo tras Hayes.[5] Tras catro anos nos Bullets, regresou a Milwaukee na tempada 1981-82, mais soamente disputaría once partidos antes de retirarse definitivamente. Nas súas 13 tempadas fixo 18,5 puntos e 6,8 rebotes por partido.
