Tugtar Inis Mór[1] go minic ar an oileán is mó de chuid Oileáin Árann amach ó chósta na Gaillimhe (i gContae na Gaillimhe) in iarthar na hÉireann. Is é Árainn ainm oifigiúil an oileáin, agus is é 'Árainn' freisin is mó a thugann muintir Oileáin Árann féin ar an oileán sin. In 2024, d'fhógair Fáilte Éireann agus Údarás na Gaeltachta infheistíocht nua; tá os cionn €3 milliún le caitheamh chun forbairt a dhéanamh ar Ionad Cuairteoirí Árann – Áit na Cloiche, a bheidh lonnaithe san áit a mbíodh Ionad Oidhreachta Oileáin Árann i gCill Rónáin.

Tá sé mar aidhm ag an infheistíocht síneadh a chur le séasúr turasóireachta na n-oileán, taithí an chuairteora a fheabhsú agus leas eacnamaíochta agus cultúrtha a dhéanamh do phobal na háite. Tá sé i gceist caifé agus áiseanna eile do thurasóirí a fhorbairt mar chuid den togra, chomh maith le háiseanna gur féidir le muintir na háite úsáid a bhaint astu nuair a bhíonn an séasúr turasóireachta thart.[2]

Beidh ionad ann a inseos scéal oidhreachta Árann do chuairteoirí agus beidh sé oscailte an bhliain ar fad – do thurasóirí agus freisin do mhuintir an oileáin a bheas in ann é a úsáid le teacht le chéile ann.[3]
