L'élection à la direction du Parti conservateur de 2019 vise à élire le nouveau chef du Parti conservateur à la suite de la démission de Theresa May, contestée en raison de son incapacité à faire adopter son accord de retrait du Royaume-Uni de l'Union européenne à la suite du référendum de 2016 sur le Brexit. Boris Johnson est élu par les adhérents du parti avec 66,1 % des voix face à Jeremy Hunt.
Les principes de la procédure de sélection du chef du Parti conservateur sont énoncés dans la Constitution du Parti conservateur, tandis que les règles détaillées sont approuvées par l'exécutif du Comité de 1922 en consultation avec le conseil d'administration du parti. Les candidatures à la direction sont invitées par le président du comité de 1922, en qualité de directeur du scrutin. À la clôture des candidatures, une liste des candidatures valides est publiée. S'il n'y a qu'une candidature valide, cette personne est élue. Si deux nominations valides sont reçues, les deux noms sont transmis aux membres du parti.
Si plus de deux nominations sont reçues, un vote est organisé au sein du groupe parlementaire. Un système de vote exhaustif est utilisé pour sélectionner deux candidats à présenter aux membres du parti. L'exécutif du Comité de 1922 a envisagé de modifier les règles afin que quatre candidats se rendent au scrutin des membres du parti. Ils ont également recommandé de porter à huit le nombre de nominations de députés requis. Le 4 juin, le conseil du parti accepta le changement de règlement. Les candidats devaient présenter le soutien de huit députés, puis d'au moins 5 % du Parti conservateur au Parlement au premier tour et de 10% au second. afin d'aller plus loin.
