Thisgingnio (ou Tjojingjo, Tigignio, Theongingon), née probablement à Cirebon et morte le à la ville du Cap, est une restauratrice et armatrice chinoise incarcérée pendant dix ans dans la prison pour esclaves locale de la Compagnie néerlandaise des Indes orientales.

Biographie

Thisgingnio est débarquée au Cap le par un navire de la Compagnie néerlandaise des Indes orientales[1]. Les raisons de sa déportation et de son incarcération pendant dix ans sont inconnues. Après être sortie de prison en 1757, Thisgingnio prend pour concubin un certain Ongkonko, qui a aussi été exilé au Cap[2]. Ongkonko meurt en 1761 et lègue une partie de son importante fortune à Thisgingnio. Selon Said Alowie, un locataire de Thisgingnio, celle-ci rencontre dès lors des problèmes d’alcoolisme[3]. Elle meurt dans la nuit du 3 au d’intoxication alcoolique[4].
