Rejoice!
Rejoice! est une œuvre de musique de chambre de la compositrice russe Sofia Goubaïdoulina, écrite en 1981.
Contexte et création
Sofia Goubaïdoulina compose Rejoice! comme une sonate pour violon et violoncelle en 1981[1]. L'œuvre est dédiée à Natalia Gutman et Oleg Kagan[1]. L'œuvre est créée par les dédicataires le à Kuhmo[1].
Structure
L'œuvre est composée de cinq mouvements :
- Your joy no man taketh from you
- Rejoice with them that do rejoice
- Rejoice, Rabbi!
- And he returned into his house
- Listen to the still small voice within
