Gábor Gadó est un musicien et guitariste de jazz hongrois né le 13 avril 1957[1] à Pécs[2] et vivant en France. Après une formation classique, il explore le registre jazz, notamment dans ses albums édités chez le label BMC.

Qualifié de « légende vivante de la scéne jazz européenne[3] » par France Musique, il a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes. Parmi eux, David Liebman, Matthieu Donarier, Gábor Winand.

Formation

Après une formation en violon dans une école spécialisée où il suit la méthode Kodaly, il s'inscrit à 15 ans au Conservatoire de Budapest. Il rentre en 1980, dans la section Jazz du Conservatoire Béla Bartók[2].

Récompenses

L'album « Corners of my mind » avec Gabor Winand reçoit la récompense « Choc de l'année » par le magazine Jazzman en 2002. En 2003, il reçoit le prix Bobby Jaspar[4].
