Les Fusobacteriales sont un ordre de bacilles Gram négatifs de la classe des Fusobacteriia. Son nom provient de Fusobacterium qui est le genre type de cet ordre[1].

Taxonomie

Cet ordre est proposé en 2012 par J.T. Staley et W.B. Whitman dans la deuxième édition du Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology[2]. Il est validé la même année par une publication dans l'IJSEM[1].
