Edward Skorkowski est un docteur en hippologie et zootechnicien polonais, né en 1899 et mort en 1985. Ses travaux portent principalement sur le cheval arabe en Pologne (il a créé leur stud-book), le poney Konik et la domestication du cheval, un postulat de sous-espèces.

Il a été le responsable du département d'élevage des chevaux à l'institut zootechnique de Cracovie. On lui doit la restauration des chevaux arabes polonais après la Seconde Guerre mondiale[1].

Travaux

Il est considéré comme le spécialiste des pedigrees des chevaux arabes polonais. Il a été le premier secrétaire de la Société polonaise d'élevage de chevaux arabes[2].
