Dzindzi-indienne. Position après 5...f5.

La défense Dzindzi-indienne (code ECO A40) est une ouverture du jeu d'échecs. Nommée ainsi par le joueur d'échecs Roman Dzindzichashvili, elle s'obtient après les coups 1. d4 g6 2. c4 Fg7 3. Cc3 c5 4. d5 Fxc3+ 5. bxc3 f5[1],[2].

De fait, cette ouverture usurpe le titre de défense indienne car ...f5 y est joué avant ...Cf6[3], et Cyrus Lakdawala (de) la traite avec la défense moderne[4].

Elle est dénommée variante beefeater[5] de la défense moderne dans le livre Unorthodox Chess Openings[6] d'Eric Schiller, qui donne par ailleurs le nom de Dzindzi-indienne à la ligne 1. d4 Cf6 2. c4 e6 3. Cf3 a6[7].

Cette variante confère un avantage conséquent aux Blancs et est, de ce fait, considérée comme irrégulière.
