La saison 1942-1943 du Championnat de Hongrie de football est la 40e édition du championnat de première division en Hongrie. Les seize meilleurs clubs du pays se retrouvent au sein d'une poule unique, la Nemzeti Bajnokság I, où ils s'affrontent deux fois, à domicile et à l'extérieur. À l'issue du championnat, les trois derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les trois meilleurs clubs de II. Osztályú Bajnokság, la deuxième division hongroise.

C'est le club de Csepel SC, tenant du titre, qui termine à nouveau en tête du classement du championnat cette saison, avec trois points sur le Nagyváradi AC et neuf sur le duo Ferencváros TC-Budafok FC. C'est le 2e titre de champion de l'histoire du club.
