La saison 2002-2003 du Championnat d'Égypte de football est la 46e édition du championnat de première division égyptien. Quatorze clubs égyptiens prennent part au championnat organisé par la fédération. Les équipes sont regroupées au sein d'une poule unique où elles rencontrent leurs adversaires deux fois, à domicile et à l'extérieur. À l'issue du championnat, les trois derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les trois meilleures équipes de D2.

C'est le club du Zamalek SC qui remporte la compétition, après avoir terminé en tête du classement final, avec un seul point d'avance sur Al Ahly SC et vingt-et-un sur le tenant du titre, Ismaily SC. C'est le 10e titre de champion d'Égypte de l'histoire du club.

À compter de cette saison, la Coupe des Coupes disparaît. À présent, les deux premiers du championnat sont qualifiés automatiquement pour la Ligue des champions de la CAF.

Barrage de promotion-relégation

Cette saison, un barrage est organisé entre deux clubs situés en Haute-Égypte : l'Assouan SC, qui a participé au championnat de première division, et la meilleure équipe de deuxième division de la région, Sohag FC. Le vainqueur du barrage représentera la Haute-Égypte la saison prochaine au plus haut niveau.
