Camille Léon Gaté est un sculpteur et écrivain français né le à Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure-et-Loir)[1] et mort dans la même ville le [2].

Biographie

Camille Gaté assure, avec son beau-frère Henri Villette-Gaté, maire de Nogent-le-Rotrou de 1898 à 1925, la direction de la tannerie familiale.

En 1886, il épouse Marguerite Boutet, fille du maire de Chartres[3].

Il est le fondateur du journal Le Républicain de Nogent-le-Rotrou.
