Bluespec

Bluespec, Inc. est une société américaine d'automatisation de la conception électronique de dispositifs semi-conducteurs basée à Framingham, dans le Massachusetts.

Historique

Cofondée en juin 2003 par les informaticiens Arvind Mithal, professeur au Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), et Joe Stoy de l'Université d'Oxford. Arvind avait auparavant fondé Sandburst en 2000, une entreprise spécialisée dans la production de puces pour routeurs Ethernet 10 Gigabit (10GE)[1],[2].

Bluespec propose deux gammes de produits, principalement destinées aux concepteurs et architectes de matériel ASIC (circuits intégrés spécifiques à une application) et FPGA ( réseaux de portes programmables sur site). Bluespec fournit une synthèse de haut niveau (synthèse logique au niveau du système électronique (ESL)) avec un niveau de transfert de registre (RTL). Le premier atelier Bluespec s'est produit le 13 août 2007 au MIT[3].
