Le cimetière du Sud, ou ancien cimetière du Sud (Alter Südfriedhof) depuis la fondation en 1977 du nouveau cimetière du Sud de Munich, est le cimetière le plus ancien de Munich, en Bavière. Fondé en 1563 par le duc Albert V de Bavière après une épidémie de peste, il se trouve à cinq cents mètres au sud de la Sendlinger Tor. C'était le seul cimetière de Munich entre 1780 et 1868 (date de l'ouverture du cimetière du Nord à Schwabing) et l'on y trouve les sépultures de personnalités éminentes de la ville du XVIIIe et du XIXe siècle.

Lorsque les cimetières intra-muros sont fermés par mesure d'hygiène à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, les dépouilles sont transférées dans le cimetière actuel, la plupart dans des fosses communes. Il est décidé en 1818 d'élever un monument à la mémoire de la révolte des paysans de 1705, mais il n'est inauguré qu'à la Toussaint 1831, à cause de différends de conception.

Friedrich von Gärtner fait agrandir et réaménager en style paysager italien la plus grande partie du cimetière en 1844. Il est endommagé par les bombardements de 1944-1945 et restauré en 1954-1955, selon les plans d'Hans Döllgast. C'est aujourd'hui un lieu du patrimoine protégé.
