Alessandra Frangipani, née le à Pise (Italie), est une joueuse internationale italienne de rugby à XV évoluant au poste de troisième ligne aile. Elle joue à Villorba Rugby.

Biographie

Alessandra Frangipani naît le à Pise en Italie. Durant sa jeunesse, elle pratique d'abord l'athlétisme. C'est dans le cadre scolaire qu'elle découvre le rugby à XV, lors d'une intervention du club local dans le cadre des cours d'éducation physique et sportive. Elle se prend au jeu et rejoint le club de Bolzano : elle la seule fille de son équipe[1]. À partir de la catégorie des moins de 14 ans, qui n'est pas mixte, elle participe à des regroupements régionaux. En 2021, après son année de première au lycée, elle est recrutée par le club de Villorba Rugby. Elle doit changer d'établissement scolaire pour faire sa terminale[1].

Elle joue son premier match international avec l'Italie contre la France lors du Tournoi des Six Nations 2022[2].

Elle compte deux sélections en équipe nationale quand elle est retenue pour disputer le Tournoi des Six Nations 2023[3]. Elle est ensuite convoquée pour jouer la première édition du WXV, en Afrique du Sud[4].

Parallèlement au rugby, elle est étudiante en sciences du sport et éducatrice au sein de l'école de rugby de Villorba, en charge des moins de 10 ans[1].
