La rivière Ala-Archa (en kazakh : Ала-Арча) est une rivière du district d'Alamüdün de la province de Tchouï au Kirghizistan.
Géographie
La rivière prend sa source sur les versants nord du massif de l'Alataou kirghize et s'écoule vers le nord. L'Ala-Archa quitte ensuite les montagnes pour atteindre la steppe située au nord de la chaîne montagneuse. Elle traverse par la suite la capitale Bichkek et rejoint la vallée de Tchouï. Quelques kilomètres plus au nord, elle est retenue par un barrage pour former le réservoir d'Ala-Archa. Enfin, elle rejoint le fleuve Tchou par sa rive gauche.
L'Ala-Archa est longue de 78 kilomètres et son bassin versant a une superficie de 270 kilomètres carrés[1] . Ses eaux proviennent principalement des glaciers et de la neige[2]. Le canal de Tchouï méridional se jette dans l'Ala-Archa, à Orto-Say.
Parcours
La rivière traverse le parc national d'Ala Archa ainsi que Bichkek. Les autres localités situées dans le bassin de la rivière sont Kachka-Suu, Baytik, Orto-Say, Tach-Döbö et Mayevka.
