Vähätori

Vähätori (ruots. Lilltorget) on tori Turussa vanhan pääkirjaston edustalla. Vähätori sisältyi jo Turun palon jälkeen laadittuun Engelin asemakaavaan vuodelta 1828 nimellä Trekantiga torg. Tori kunnostettiin pihakatutyyppiseksi oleskelutilaksi vuosina 2009–2010. Kunnostukseen kustannuksista puolet saatiin Euroopan aluekehitysrahastolta.[1] Rakennustuoteteollisuus RTT ja Puutarhaliitto antoivat Vähätorille kunniamaininnan Vuoden ympäristörakenne -kilpailussa vuonna 2011.[2]

Torilla oleva Gustav Albert Petreliuksen vuonna 1924 lahjoittama ja Gunnar Finnen ja Armas Lindgrenin veistämä G. A. Petreliuksen suihkukaivo on myös kunnostettu vuonna 2010.[3] Suihkukaivon vieressä sijaitsee Saara Ekströmin 14 metriä pitkä happokäsitellystä corten-teräksestä valmistettu tilataideteos Kertosäe.[4][5]
