Santasaari on Kangasalla Vesijärven länsiosassa sijaitseva noin kilometrin pituinen saari Pikonlinnan niemen pohjoispuolella Lintulahden suulla. Se on vain noin sata metriä leveä ja harjumainen. Suurin osa saaresta on seurakunnan omistuksessa ja sinne on perustettu vuonna 2020 virkistysalue kaupungin ja seurakunnan yhteistoimin[1].

Santasaari retki- ja leiripaikkana

Partiolaiset ovat käyttäneet Santasaarta leiripaikkanaan 1940-luvulta lähtien. [2] Santasaaressa on ollut Kangasalan seurakunnan leirikeskus. Leirikeskusta alettiin rakentaa vuonna 1967. 1968 valmistui sauna. Majoitusrakennus tehtiin 1970 ja päärakennus 1971.[3] Leirikeskuksen päärakennus tuhoutui tulipalossa vuonna 2002 ja toiminta saaressa hiljeni. 2019 alettiin suunnitella saaren ottamista kaupunkilaisten virkistyskäyttöön.[4]
