Sakari Mäkelä

Sakari Mäkelä (s. 1987 Kouvola) on suomalainen valokuvaaja, elokuvaaja ja mediatuottaja.[1]

Hänelle myönnettiin vuonna 2017 arvostettu Finnfoto-palkinto merkittävästä vaikutuksesta suomalaisen valokuvauksen kehitykseen ja valokuvauksen arvostuksen lisäämiseen.[2] Hän on toiminut Suomen Kameraseurojen Liiton nuorisovastaavana 2011-2016 ja varapuheenjohtajana 2013-2016.[3] Mäkelä on perustanut Suomen suurimman nuorille valokuvaajille tarkoitetun yhteisön Nuoret valokuvaajat.[2]

Mäkelä toteuttaa päätyönään mainoselokuvia, yritysvideoita ja musiikkivideoita media-alan yrityksessään White Cloud Productions. Hän työskenteli aiemmin kuvataiteen tuntiopettajana Järvenpään lukiossa aina vuoteen 2018 asti.[4]

Mäkelä on ohjannut lukuisia lyhytelokuvia, joista tunnetuimpia ovat Käpy (2010)[5] ja Niin myötä- kuin vastamäessä (2008).[6]

Hänet on palkittu mm. parhaan ohjauksen palkinnolla Makedonian kansainvälisillä elokuvajuhlilla vuonna 2009. Hänen teoksensa ovat lisäksi voittaneet neljä Filmi- ja videokuvaajien liiton harrastelyhytelokuvien suomenmestaruutta sekä kaksi independent-lyhytelokuvien maailmanmestaruuspronssia UNICA-filmifestivaaleilla Puolassa 2009 ja Sveitsissä 2010.[7]

Lisäksi hän on julkaissut omakustanteena runokirjan Niin kuin aamu rakastaa kastetta vuonna 2013.[8]
