Omenaruusu (Rosa rubiginosa) on Euroopassa alkuperäisenä kasvava[1] pensasruusu, joka on myös koristekasvi.

Omenaruusu kasvaa 1–3 metriä korkeaksi pensaaksi. Sen varren piikit ovat kahdenlaisia: ohuita, suoria tai kynsimäisiä vankkoja. Lehden lehdykät ovat kooltaan 1–3 senttimetriä. Ne ovat muodoltaan puikean soikeita, hapsi- ja nystykarvaisia. Omenaruusun kukat ovat punaiset. Kiulukka on soikea ja kalju. [2]

Omenaruusu kasvaa luonnonvaraisena Pohjoismaiden eteläosissa, Ruotsissa, Norjassa ja Tanskassa, mutta ei Suomessa. Sen luonnonkasvupaikkoja ovat muun muassa lehtoniityt, hakamaat ja pensaikot. [2]
