Moonlight Drive on yhdysvaltalaisen rockyhtyeen The Doorsin kappale yhtyeen vuoden 1967 albumilta Strange Days Jim Morrison kirjoitti sanoitukset asuessaan Venice Beachillä Kaliforniassa . Hän katsoi öisin ihmisten ikkunoista sisälle, tutki mitä he tekivät ja katsoi heidän televisioitaan.[ 1]
Jim Morrison lausui kappaleen sanoitukset runona Ray Manzarekille , kun he tapasivat Etelä-Kalifornian rannalla vuonna 1965. Manzarek piti runoa mahtavana ja vakuutti Morrisonin perustamaan yhtyeen.[ 1]
